I would however support CurtR’s advice re’ ensuring the router is protected with a suitable encrypted key (a new one); and also to change the SSID to something less obvious. And even better to actually hide the SSID – not to broadcast it (after carefully noting what it is and ensuring there is a hard copy, or record of it somewhere safe – and known to the poster only).

Equally with a little help from us pholks here possibly the lady can be encouraged to employ mac filtering too; as that is another (albeit basic) level of security; and the more the better?

Is the file part of a master/subproject or resource pool/subproject structure? Does the file contain paste links? Is the file on a remote server such that it is accessed over a network? Any of these items make a file more prone to corruption. And even if your answer to all the above is “no”, files can still sometimes get corrupted. Its not easy to always identify the reason.
For starters you might try method 4 detailed in FAQ 43 found on the MVP website at, http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm If that doesn’t work your best bet is to revert back to an earlier version that still opens, (you do periodically save I assume), and then go forward from there.
In that case if all else fails, you can try this Microsoft project repair online service. I think that you should all get. https://onlinefilerepair.com/en/pro… See less

I’m not sure what you are trying to explain.

The title of your post includes the word “missing”.

The body of your post says “This will work with any windows PC item you might be missing. Just do a google search for the the shortcut key for the item you are trying to move”

You seem to go back and forth between “moving” and “missing” when discussing the dialog box.

What problem are you offering a solution for – recovering a missing dialog box or moving a dialog box?

In addition, re: your instructions: “then hold down the following keys (in order) alt+spacebar+m (to move the dialog box) and while holding these keys down then use the arrow keys to move the box.

If I hold alt+spacebar+m down, the arrows key do not move the dialog box. The alt+spacebar+m keys displays the 4 sided move arrows, but I have to release those keys in order for the arrow keys to move the dialog box.

    Please explain that discrepancy.

  6. Road Rash is an extremely old game. It should be playable on a netbook but you'll need a CD drive to install it. And it will most likely have to be run in Win95/98 compatibility mode. You can try copying the contents of the CD to a USB jump drive & see if it will install from there.

    EDIT:
Might be worth first just disabling your addons temporarily just to see if this cures the issue. If it does then see if replacing the addon helps.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome – thanks

DO NOT plug in or unplug a monitor’s video cable into / from a video port while the computer is running. Doing so can damage the monitor’s circuits and/or the video adapter’s circuits.

Some laptops will display on an external monitor without you having to do anything.

If you get no video on an external monitor, some laptops have a key combo that you must press to toggle the display to external video only / sometimes both / built in display video only – see the Owner’s or User’s manual for the model.

If you get no video on the external monitor even so before Windows starts to load, you have the very rare case that the circuits for the default VGA support of the video adapter, which needs no drivers, are damaged – since most laptops DO NOT have a video CARD (a CARD is removable) and instead have a video adapter built into the mboard, usually the only cure for that is to replace the mboard.
