The symptoms are very odd. Better do a “quick check” for malware:

Install, Update and Run MalwareBytes from green button top right:
    http://filehippo.com/download_malwa…
If it finds anything at all please copy/paste the log on here.

Download and “Save” the ADWCleaner file from blue download button near the top:
    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/dow…
Find the downloaded file and double click it. Run just the Scan only then paste that log on here too.

Always pop back and let us know the outcome – thanks

Thanks for the reply. I just entered my question into Google and found this answer:

The symptom of seeing only the bottom of the picture indicates that
the paragraph in which you’re inserting it is set to an “exact” line
spacing. In the Format Paragraph dialog, change the spacing from
“exact” to “at least” to allow the line space to expand to the full
    height of the inserted picture.

One click and everything works great.

It doesn’t show any USB boot options. A few things to try though:

Enable ‘USB legacy support’ from the Advanced menu. And I think I’ve seen sometimes the regular cd/dvd boot option will include an external optical drive.

Also note it has a list of devices ‘excluded from boot order’. Examples showing there are USB hard drive and USB memory (flash drive I guess) and you can enable those by tapping ‘x’ when they’re highlighted. Try enabling whatever shows there on yours and maybe it’ll then pick up your external cd drive.

I don’t know what you mean by “HD Audio connects”? Your board has the typical rear audio ports plus a front panel audio connector that need to be plugged into the front audio ports on your case. There’s also a digital audio connector that connects to the supplied S/PDIF bracket that should be placed in one of the slots in the rear of the case. It’s all detailed in the motherboard manual. See page 1-30.

To check to see if drivers are installed, look in Device Manager in the Control Panel.

There are several tools for opening RAR files, the first is winrar itself
    http://www.rarsoft.com/
It is free to download as a trial, however you will have to pay for the premium version
The other is 7-zip, that is open source.
    http://www.7-zip.org/

Edit: I also forgot to mention to be careful of RAR or ZIP archives, as both can be used for hiding viruses/malware. Only open from sources you trust!
Both are fully capable of opening and extracting RAR files!
    Hope this helps!

If the logs are not conclusive then your best option is to bring back slowly to your original settings One at a time only and wait a few days between. I would however recommend going with the non-beta driver though. It is very possible that loosening the RAM timings a tad might be enough if it was the memory getting flaky. You should run Memtest86 through at least one complete cycle of their tests and some recommend more than once when overclocking memory or playing with the timings. The key to a 24/7 rig that is overclocked on the high side is to make only one setting adjustment, test, and then real world test for days or maybe a week once you get near the limits. If things get flaky then back off on one setting only and retest to compare the results.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Help with setup: Mouse is not working
    1. Is the mouse powered on?
    2. Is the Unifying receiver securely plugged into a computer USB port? Try changing USB ports.
    3. If the Unifying receiver is plugged into a USB hub, try plugging it directly into a USB port on your computer.
    4. Check the orientation of the batteries inside the mouse. To check battery power, turn the mouse OFF and then ON. If the battery indicator light glows red or does not glow at all, replace the batteries.
    5. Try using the mouse on a different surface. Remove metallic objects between the mouse and the Unifying receiver.
    6. Try moving the Unifying receiver to a USB port closer to the mouse. If you are using a tower PC, go to www.logitech.com/usbextenderfor a USB extender.
    7. Try reconnecting the mouse and Unifying receiver using the Logitech Unifying software (refer to the

Getting started is easyIf you’re ready to pair your device(s) via Unifying, here’s what you need to do:

    2. If you haven’t already, download the Logitech® Unifying software from www.logitech.com/unifying.
