Many of the problems with games launching happen because of improper installation. Check, if there was any error during installation, try deleting the game and run the installer again, but before install don’t forget to disable antivirus – it may often mistakenly delete files during installation process. It is also important to remember that the path to the folder with a game should contain only Latin characters and numbers.

You also have to check whether there is enough space on the HDD for installation. You can also try to run the game as an administrator in compatibility mode with different versions of Windows.

Many folks on this forum use cdburnerxp and recommend it. It is perfectly safe and much more useable than anything that comes with Win10.

It’s possible you have a virus or malware – what AV do you use?

Run these two freebies in the order given because they often unearth what AV’s miss:
    AdwCleaner:
    https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcle…
Download and “Save” the file somewhere. Go to the saved file then double click it to run the program. Use the “Scan” button, followed by the “Clean” button.

    MalwareBytes:
    https://www.malwarebytes.org/
(use the “Free Download” button rather than the “Buy Now” button).
After the install go to “Settings > Protection”. Under Scan Options move the “Scan for rootkits” slider over to On and Run the Threat Scan. Quarantine anything it finds.

As for the reported issue, are you sure you were not formatting DVD or CD “RW” in the past?

Always pop back and let us know the outcome – thanks

Thank you for the suggestion, riider. That did not solve the issue, but I appreciate the effort.

After installing the latest drivers, and wasting a few hours on a disastrous attempt to replace DirectX 11 with an earlier version, I eventually did find the source of the problem. Before my current display, I was using two monitors a 1024×1280 (portrait rotation). Black Mirror 3 ran on one monitor at 1024×768 resolution. When I switched to the new single monitor, the program tried to force the screen resolution to the one it remembered (1024×1280 portrait), which the new monitor does not support.

To solve the problem, I used an open-source application that allows other full-screen-only applications to run in a window. When I ran Black Mirror 3 from inside the window control utility, the window automatically resized to its remembered resolution. Once I modified the window configuration to match the one forced by the program, I was able to adjust the resolution to a compatible setting. It now runs normally, without errors, at 1920×1080.

For anyone else experiencing DirectX problems, download the application from here (no install needed): http://sourceforge.net/projects/dxw…

    Check all computers for malware.
Periodically unplug and replug the cable/DSL/Fios Modem to cause it to be reassigned a new address to make you less susceptible to concerted external attacks.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.

Also, I would advise returning this to the place you purchased it and requesting a refund. Many times there are issues that continue to happen because it was originally set up as a demo phone. Your other choice is to contact nokia.

Found the solution! and of all places it was after talking to a t-mobile rep lol
    To master reset the Nokia
    1. Power off your phone.
    2. Push these buttons in order (a, then b, then c, then d)
    a. Up Volume rocker
    b. Down Volume rocker
    c. Power
    d. Down Volume rocker
You will get an exclamation mark…restart the phone. It’ll show the cogs working..then you’re restored to factory firmware and you can set up your accounts now! no more demo phone!
