error 162 = system options not set – for some bios versions is the same thing as the CMOS CHECKSUM ERROR you get with other bioses.
All you need to do is go into the bios Setup and set the Time and Date to something other than their defaults, preferably the current date and time.
If your cmos battery were too weak or dead you would ALSO get error 161 = dead or too weak battery

The wireless card is the sole reason the laptop runs Windows 95 B instead of the original 4.00.950 it came with (or “A” with SP1 installed). I don’t like “C” because it includes the desktop active update along with bloated IE 4.0.
Windows 95 B from 1996 has many refinements and many electronic devices require this minimum OS instead of the original.
It is a 16-bit non-Cardbus PCMCIA card that works on a vanilla install of Windows 95, does not require any Cardbus drivers or updates as long as it is Windows 95 B from 1996. It’s basically plug-and-play, Windows 95 will detect the card once you plug it in. I’ve been using this card for around 10 years with no issues.
They’re available on eBay sporadically so try to get one if you get the opportunity. I don’t recommend Cardbus cards because they are very tricky to get working under Windows 95 and NT 4.0, BIOS interrupt conflicts, etc.

The real picture was only ever stored in the email. The photo gallery is just a means to view and edit pictures (rather like shortcuts). It was therefore a shortcut that went to the bin but the actual picture remained in the email. After you deleted the email, all you restored from the bin was the shortcut. As there was no longer an email, then there was no picture for the shortcut to find.
That is one of the problems with the virtual world presented to us by modern operating systems. They can give a false impression about where the picture resides. If you had “saved” the picture from the email (to Pictures folder or whatever) it would still be there and also appear as a link in photo gallery.
It means of-course that there is no way to get back the picture unless recuva can restore the email back into the email program, as I said before.
To avoid this happening again you either have to keep the email, or Save the picture somewhere on the computer (outside of email). Picture files themselves don’t actually reside in the photo gallery. If you check in photo gallery there is means provided to determine where the real picture file is located.

The real picture was only ever stored in the email. The photo gallery is just a means to view and edit pictures (rather like shortcuts). It was therefore a shortcut that went to the bin but the actual picture remained in the email. After you deleted the email, all you restored from the bin was the shortcut. As there was no longer an email, then there was no picture for the shortcut to find.
