Offline Windows XP Updates Installer

  • 2

Hi,

Now that Windows XP updates has been discontinued (as of April 8 2014) and the final security patches have been established is there a single downloadable file that contains all of its patches? I ask in case if I were to load Windows XP on a machine to discover that the Windows Update checker in Internet Explorer 8 stops working or something similar where accessing these updates is no longer available.

  1. You can still download and save Service Pack 3 for future installation when required:

So grab it while you still can.

There is no single download for individual updates released since SP3, nor are they available now anyway – – it’s passed the deadline of April 8th

As long as you install SP3 and install a reliable and trusted antivirus and third-party firewall, you need not worry about security holes.

However, as time progresses you will find fewer and fewer hardware and software manufacturers who support Windows XP on their new products, which is fine if you never intend to buy any new computer software or hardware – – not a very practical situation to be in.
