How do I install windows xp in acer x2640g veriton pc, everytime i install it, just popped up blue screen….got no idea anymore..xoxo
The purpose of me installing windows xp is to replace the existing pc of car for alligning system….and this alligning system only work at XP…;-(
i have already try using nlite to integrate the SCSI and RAID driver to win XP but still popped up blue screen… and one more thing.. this acer pc i got here got only AHCI sata mode option…one and only…
Installing XP on a relatively new computer will be a challenge, one which may ultimately prove futile. A big problem ( but not the only one) will be obtaining drivers. Acer does not list drivers for any OS older than Windows 7 and you can be sure the install media won’t have them. How could Microsoft include drivers for hardware that would not exist for more than a decade in the future?
If you really must run XP do so under a virtual machine such as VirtualBox or VMWare running on a modern OS. MUCH easier.
What does it say on this blue screen? Any codes given or files mentioned?
Is the blue screen during install or afterwards when you try to start Windows?
What was on the hard drive? Did you delete all the partitions & then create one (or more) new ones before proceeding with the install?
