I ran the command (line 11 – as per my previous link). An icon called “Switch Volume” arrived on the desktop and sure enough I could toggle the sound on and off just fine.
Nothing more I can suggest except when you get to Command Prompt Copy/Paste the line in: nircmd.exe cmdshortcut “~$folder.desktop$” “Switch Volume” mutesysvolume 2
That will make darned certain it is 100% correct. Any minor error, such as a space missing, could prevent it working.

I think that adapter only has 'master/slave' options. If so, recheck the jumpers on the hard drive. If they're set to CS (cable select) change it to 'master'.

Have a look at this article from Microsoft. It refers to Windows 95, but may also be valid for 98. You may need to use the "restore" command rather than the "msbackup" one.Of course, it's always possible that some other backup program produced these files.

hi mate, some of the older Series40 devices do not support online video / YouTube streaming, and i believe that your device is one of these unfortunately. there is nothing that you can do about this mate.

That was the situation with the video driver for my motherboard some months ago. I emailed the motherboard manufacturer asking why they had no video driver for my board, they promptly replied and informed me that Microsoft supplies it via Windows update, which was quite correct.
