Otherwise we need to know exactly which screen you are looking at which contains these incorrect characters and exactly how far you get when you power on the computer.

I’ve had the same message. I just noticed it now (screen came up quick enough). Since the message does appear to be from the Marvell Controller”s BIOS, I pressed Ctrl-M on boot-up to check the settings.
If you connect two disks normally, and have not configured anything else in there, then these disks show up as physical disks. Since it”s a RAID controller it allows you to combine the two disks into a single virtual disk.
However, there is no way to switch opff RAID specifically, (i.e. switch off the virtual disk check), so you can”t get rid of the message, but it appears to be normal.
Note that this is the only SATA3 controller in my system, so I”ve got my SSD bootdisk hanging from it as well as my mainly uuused 3Tb Datadisk, so making of these two is not really a good idea 🙂 Perhaps with two 250GB SSD Disks for booting and Large MMO Games would profit from the RAID, though.
