Why Does Yahoo Email Want To Delete My Active Account?

I have received a Microsoft email saying my yahoo account will be deleted soon if I do not click a button that says OneDrive. I just use straight email and not sure what OneDrive means, if it’s one in the same. I use it everyday and I keep it clean. I need and want to keep this account. Is a scam or for real? The email address from the sender is email@mail.onedrive.com Thank you

    1. Ignore the message. There are innumerable messages relating to email accounts floating about. All are fake and may even be trying to get you to respond, by providing logon details or other personal data.
      I get some from BT which have genuine BT references but are fake. BT confirm the references are apparently genuine, but the messages are not from BT.

      Similarly some from yahoo and outlook.com. I ignore them all.

      Occasionally email providers do delete dormant accounts; and some will advise to that effect; but likely not all. Sky did so a while back and one was able to contact them by phone to clarify/confirm the messages from Sky were genuine.
