Ranmjeetks, SWAG, seems to me that Windows should start in the same configuration it was in when closed. Proceeding on that assumption, set the lock as you like THEN close using the option under ‘file’ (rather than the handier ‘X’. Only needs to be done once.) to force Windows to ‘remember’. Then reboot, it should be as you closed it.
You can usually set the on or off state of Num lock in the bios Setup of the mboard.
Set the Capslock, Numlock or Scroll Lock to be enabled or disabled at startup.
1. Go to Start and type Regedit. (Click RUN then type REGEDIT in XP)
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard
3. Open InitialKeyboardIndicators. Set the value to one of the following numbers
0 – All Keys off
1 – Caps Lock on
2 – Num Lock on
3 – Caps Lock and Num Lock on
4 – Scroll Lock on
5 – Caps Lock and Scroll Lock on
6 – Num Lock and Scroll Lock on
7 – Caps Lock, Num Lock, and Scroll Lock on
Try This 🙂
