Solved How To Tell If I Have Recovery Partition?

My father gave me his old lap top from work, and he lost his system disks. How can I wipe out everything on this computer with out destroying the OS?
Some one told me that If I didn’t have the system discs, I could do it from the recovery partition. How can I tell if I even have a recovery partition. what should I be looking for?

      You can see your recovery partition this way.

      Start > My Computer, right click on it & select manage, click on Storage & then Disk Management.

      You should see a very small size, which is for recovery.
