How To Set The Subject Of File Or folder?

  • 2

Windows XP SP-3. Windows Explorer (not IE) has an optional column “Subject” to show the subject of each file or folder. How do I set the Subject of each file or folder so it appears in Explorer?

  1. In Windows Explorer open the file properties dialog from the context menu and select the Summary tab. There you will be able to enter a subject and other information as you wish. Windows itself does not use this information. This only works for NTFS formatted volumes.
