How Can I Convert Irfanview Files To Word

I had a problem earlier trying to post files to facebook. I downloaded and used Irfanview. worked wonderfully But It converted ALL my scanned files to Irfanview. I want to convert those non picture files to Word.
I can’t find any method to do so

      The files that you typed and then scanned will have produced jpg files (ie “pictures” of what you typed). IrfanView has only changed the program that you use to “view” these pictures when you double click them, nothing else. Even if you dumped IrfanView you would still have the same issue to solve.

      These “pictures of text” can be inserted into Word but you will not be able to edit the text from there. This is the job of an OCR program, which converts pictured text into real characters in Word or similar.

      The only other way is to first edit these pictures of text using Paint but it is a fiddling process. They could then be inserted into Word as edited pictures of text.

      I found this. You upload your text images using the Browse button and it coverts them. Presumably you can then copy/paste the text into Word:
