Midi Doesn’t Play On Windows 98

I’m opening a midi file with media player and their’s no sound coming out of my speakers. I can still play DOS games with midi music. I have a Sound Blaster 128 PCI and it was working well sometime ago.

    1. Update your audio drivers.

      Also, check your volume controls to make sure midi volume isn’t muted.

    2. what you need is the SBPCI128Setupus_w9x.exe file, which does bundle the Sound Blaster 128 PCI drivers for Win95 and Win98 FE.

      download and install those drivers from the Creative Labs support site mentioned above.
