Access Denied For Windows 8.1 Documents & Settings Folder

anytime i try to access documents and settings, am told access is denied.i want to paste a file at startup but because of this i cant.Also am trying to let my pc welcome me after booting but i cant pls assist me

    1. That is the correct condition – you are not supposed to be able to access that area. If you have tried to force the issue undo whatever you have done before you hit trouble, using System Restore if necessary.

      This is the path you want to get you to the Startup folder:
      “C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows
      \Start Menu\Programs\Startup”

      You need to say what this welcome idea is about – a screen message, audio or what? You can put a shortcut in Startup to whatever you wish.
