get the following message when I try to archive my emails:
error while archiving folder “inbox” in store “Personal Folders”. The source and destination folders for this application cannot be the same.
How can I fix this? Please help

Ok I figured it out. The archive file address was defaulting to Outlook so I actually revised the address to default to the folder I created and it worked. I guess no matter how many files I would have created, the address would have always defaulted to Outlook (Personal Folders) as opposed to the new folder.

Sounds like your personal folder is contained in your Inbox folder. Create a new folder that is not listed under Inbox. Name it whatever you want, i.e. archived mail etc.
create a new folder by itself. Don’t create it under personal folders
