Prompted To Save Print Output As Instead Of Printing

Everything was working fine, but today, every time I try and print I get a window and it prompts me to ‘save print output as’. Even if I save the document as an xps document it will not print. I have checked and made sure my HP printer is set as the default printer and it is. I have also restarted my laptop and still the same issue.

Any advice much appreciated.

      Try a hard restart to both. Unplug the printer when it is on, wait a minute and plug it in again. Hold down the power button on the laptop until it is off (6-10 seconds), remove the battery and hold down the power button again for about 10 seconds. Replace the battery and turn on both. This should clear a stray error that is remaining in the memory and allow a clean start. It is easy and worth the try.

      You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
