In Windows 10 Firewall, “Allow an app or feature through
Windows Firewall”, I can’t uncheck the “Public” box for
Microsoft Office Outlook. I can uncheck the “Private” box
and the box that includes both, but the “Public” box stays
checked always. It is the only box I can’t uncheck.
Any info about it?
Was it checked by Windows or by Office? Office was recently
uninstalled, but I don’t know if Office Outlook came with
Office or with Windows. I’ve never used it. Not even once.

Microsoft Office Outlook is no longer in the list of programs in
Windows Firewall. I don’t know how or when it disappeared.
The Control Panel item is still there.

It doesnt really matter if that checkbox is checked or not.
If you want to block a program from connecting to the internet, do this:
Go to: Control Panel > System & Security > Windows Firewall > Advanced Options(Left side menu at bottom).
Click on Outgoing Rules in the left menu.
Then click on New Rule in the right menu.
The rest really explains it self.
