Hey, you’re the one that started this thread & you’re the one that claimed to know all about single vs double sided. You also chose the name “Big E Custom PC” which sounds like it could be the name of a computer shop, so it would seem that you came here as an expert to set all of us straight.

I gave you my answer which I believe to be correct:

single sided = memory chips on one side of RAM module
double sided = memory chips on both sides of RAM module

There is no rocket science involved in trying to figure it out. The rest of the crap you went on about involves “ranking” & that is a completely different issue. I posted a link that explains what that is all about. The following was taken from your favorite site to plagiarize, Wikipedia…it describes what single & double sided RAM is & how the terms *may* cause confusion when it comes to ranking:

“DIMMs are often referred to as “single-sided” or “double-sided” to describe whether the DRAM chips are located on one or both sides of the module’s printed circuit board (PCB). However, these terms may cause confusion, as the physical layout of the chips does not necessarily relate to how they are logically organized or accessed.”

It goes on to say that: “JEDEC decided that the terms “dual-sided,” “double-sided,” or “dual-banked” were not correct when applied to registered DIMMs.”

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DIMM#R…

I’m sure you know what JEDEC is AND the difference between registered & un-registered DIMMs.

If you were trying to overclock, then learn what you are doing before proceeding since OverVolting is to be done very carefully.
If you need more help, please give important details you are missing. System, MB model, exact RAM, power supply make/model, etc.

You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
This site is about helping people, lets keep it that way.

  4. Try a different signal cable to the affected monitor, and ensure monitor driver (just an information or INF file) from monitor maker is installed. When the monitor driver is installed, monitor make & model appears in Device Manager. If it says "Generic" monitor, the driver hasn't been installed.

  5. In the find and replace dialog box, make sure that the 'Match case' check box is cleared. I don't have Word 2007 on this PC, but I think that the dialog box is similar. Look under 'More' for additional find/replace options.

    e.g.

Insert however many text boxes you need to create the concatenated string.

One at a time, Select each text box, click in the formula bar and enter e.g. =A1 to have the result from that cell appear in the text box.

Arrange the text boxes next to each other, format them as No Line and format the text the way you want, e.g. Bold.

Mac computers will always identify a file as a “unix executable” if it doesn’t know what application is required to open it. This is usually because the file has no filename extension (the three letters to the right of the dot).

If you can add the correct extension to the filename, your Mac should then know what application to use to open it.

Do not remove the motherboard. If it was working prior to the upgrade, there’s likely nothing wrong with it.

“I applied thermal paste to the new CPU coolers base”
“The cooler came with thermal paste attached to it but I Still added a little extra”

Paste is supposed to be applied to the CPU, not the “coolers base” (other than factory applied). And if there was a pre-applied pad or paste, you should NOT have added more paste to it.

Reinstall the i5. Make sure to thoroughly clean ALL traces of the old thermal material from both the CPU & bottom of the heatsink. Apply fresh paste on the CPU using the vertical line method, then install the heatsink/fan (aka cooler).

    http://forum.corsair.com/v3/attachment.php?attachmentid=12922&d=1372714276

If the system boots up after doing the above, update the BIOS to version F21. After that’s been done, swap the i5 for the i7, repeating the thermal paste application process. Do NOT re-use the old paste.
