To reset the CMOS just unplug your system from the wall and then remove the round coin cell battery from the motherboard. The battery’s socket should have a little tab that when pressed will eject the battery from the socket. Once the battery is removed then press and hold the power button for 15 – 20 seconds to drain any residual electrical charge from the motherboard and clear the CMOS.

Once done, put the CMOS battery back in its socket. Resetting the cmos did not help, trying different hdmi cables or changing the 3v internal battery and wiping down the gig cards on my motherboard also did not solve my problem. I also have the same issue. Resetting the Bios does not resolve the issue.

  4. Before anyone can give an answer you need to provide much more information. First of all you need to list your hardware, or better yet run the scan tool here to identify your system specs. What is the exact message you are seeing in Device Manager?
