Probably a tiny jack plug or socket somewhere on the monitor in which you connect an external Power Supply like laptops have.

So do not look for a standard power socket look for a jack plug or similar it may even have a voltage (12 V) marked alongside it.

  4. You really need to troubleshoot more. If the system didn't beep when the RAM was removed, I'd say either the CPU or board is bad. Are you using onboard video or a video card? If the monitor’s connected to a card but onboard is available, remove the card & connect the monitor to the onboard. If it’s already connected to the onboard, try a card.

Also, if you haven’t already done so, unplug the power cord & reset the BIOS using the clear CMOS jumper.

  10. DDR2 & DDR3 are NOT interchangeable. They are notched differently so that you can't use the wrong type in the wrong slot. Your board uses DDR2 so if you want to upgrade, DDR2 is what you'll need to get. See this picture:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:D...
