I was running Win7 on a 10 yr old laptop (HP zv6000) with just 1.5GB RAM & the performance was acceptable but I eventually switched to Linux (Zorin OS). If your computer has enough memory (at least 2GB) or can be upgraded to that much (or more), it will most likely run Win7. I would stay away from Win8 until they get the bugs out of it. The next release should be the one to get, or just wait for Win9 which is just a year away.

As you have a valid license I can’t see that would be any breach etc. of license agreements etc. ss you would be using your own “key/license”.
If you enter the words – Magic Box – in the search box at the top of this post (or the top of the actual forum where you posted this thread) and select “ALL” instead of “Drivers” as the area to search, you will get a list of all the post that are related to Magic Box.
Have a read of them and then perhaps send a private message to whichever poster(s) you think may be able to assist with a duplicate disk? Possibly one or more will get your private message and respond?
I did a quick trawl via Google and also eBay but didn’t get any useful hits re’ the cd. But perhaps you can do your own – using an assortment of search terms/phrases, and you get lucky?

Likely your best option. It’s not that DOS-networking can’t be done at all, but DOS was quite limited in what it could really do. Networking on the PC, per se, wasn’t really popular until WfWG3.11/Win95. Nonetheless, Mike Brutman has done some amazing work with explaining DOS networking and with creating mTCP (a set of applications for very low-end IBM PC compatible machines). You may want to look more into it if you’re still serious about networking a DOS machine:

Example, I have a movie file 540×360 pixels. This is standard definition which will look okay on a phone or laptop when viewed at original size. When viewed full screen, it will look blocky because the player is stretching such a small file to fill either 1280x720p screen or 1920x1080p screen (or even 3840 x 2160 if you have a 4k tv).
I have another file, 1920×1040 pixels. This file is high definition, and will look great no matter what you play it on. Phone, laptop, TV. When the player stretches the video to full screen, there are lots of pixels to work with so it doesn’t have to stretch the tiny pixels to fill the space.
If the movies you are watching have small files, there really isn’t a way to fix it via your player. You have to re-encode the movies. If my hunch is wrong, then ignore everything I just said.
