And the reported CPU voltages are WAY over what they should be, at least in SpeedFan. The CPUZ readings seem to be in the ballpark. I don’t know if it’s just a software glitch or what? The CPU voltage is supposed to fluctuate based on load but it should be between 0.90v & 1.425v. Here’s the breakdown:

The external connectors (those old wide SCSI things that look kinda like a parallel printer connector) connect to this circuitry through the enclosure wall.
In other words…within the case, there is some circuitry (other than just the power unit…that sits between the the external connectors and the drive itself.
To look at the bare drive…it looks JUST LIKE an IDE ATA hard drive…..Except, it has a 2 rows of 25 pins (not 19 or 20).
The drive model: DPES-31080 (IBM) and P/N: 85g3623

Best of all is to Power Off (if possible), then disconnect from power and remove battery. If you then hold the Power Off button down for at least 20 second it will discharge the motherboard capacitors. This can sometimes “unstick” computers.

+5v : 4.41v = 11.8% undervolted
+12v : 10.88v = 9.3% undervolted
