HELP….
Situation:
Older Macintosh (Power Mac)….connected to and EXTERNAL SCSI Drive via those old Thick SCSI Cables.
Well….the SCSI Connection interface WITHIN the external drive enclosure has failed.
HOWEVER….I was able to get the drive itself out and connect it to an external power supply. The drive spins up and sounds OK.
Now…I need to get the data off. Is there some sort of 50 Pin SCSI to USB adapter?
OR…any other suggestions for attaching this drive?
Any help appreciated. THANKS

But, the bare drive itself has a ribbon cable connected to it….the other end of the ribbon cable connects to some type of circuity within the enclosure.
The external connectors (those old wide SCSI things that look kinda like a parallel printer connector) connect to this circuitry through the enclosure wall.
In other words…within the case, there is some circuitry (other than just the power unit…that sits between the the external connectors and the drive itself.
To look at the bare drive…it looks JUST LIKE an IDE ATA hard drive…..Except, it has a 2 rows of 25 pins (not 19 or 20).
The drive model: DPES-31080 (IBM) and P/N: 85g3623

Hey, and the other folks…thanks for those links.
Google is pretty cool…..however, I did try multiple searches for the needed adapter before posting here…nothing came up (that I could find).
Those results produced by the provided links include adapters which do not connect to this BARE drive (as described).
It was nice for you to provide them, nonetheless.
