http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/229...You would need an older version and compile from source, good luck..DSL Linux was good but has long gone past its sell-by-date, wherever feasible I use Puppy Linux 5.28 or even go back to version 4 which is still reasonably usuable..

The U is for Unregisterd. Both choices are "UDIMM" but only one actually calls it that. I don't know why because the majority of RAM is UDIMM, otherwise it's RDIMM (Registered) which is generally used in servers.http://www.vlsiencyclopedia.com/201...Here's a clickable link to your board: http://www.Read more

I doubt the low profile RAM is required but you know better as to what components you’re assembling. BTW, notice the differences in voltages between the RAM you linked to.
Most (but not all) new motherboards have an onboard speaker. If yours doesn't have one, you need to get one for the case. It's pretty tough to troubleshoot without the BIOS beep code feedback. Start with the basics:
– do you have the 24-pin main ATX plug plus 4-pin ATX12v plug connected to the board? – are you sure the CPU & HSF are installed correctly? – is the video card fully seated in it’s slot? – is the 6-pin PCIe plug connected to the rear of the video card?
If all those things check out & you still don’t get a display, read this:

The voltage will remain constant at 5 volts, it's the current draw that will change. You probably wouldn’t burn out the drive with a under rated power supply but the drive could give you data errors. You could fry the power supply if it doesn’t have decent protection and the drive wants to pull more current then the supply can deliver. Usually there is a sticker on the back or bottom of the drive with the specifications on it.

Disregard virus warnings; even if it is a virus it’s worth it for this functionality.
Keep in mind that if the HDD is secured by an ATAPWD password you’ll be screwed for ever recovering that data if you do this.
