of entries for MaxPhysPage vs available ram. 30000 allows for 768 meg. You might want to drop that to something like 10000 or 08000 (256 or 128) and see if that works.

Also, if you have a config.sys with himem.sys and emm386.exe loading,. try temporarily renaming it to something else so it doesn’t load.

Before you set about restoring the Toshiba to factory settings…, have you safeguarded – as in copied – all your personal files off the system? Typically to DVD but an external hard drive too is nice(r)?

The factory reset/restore routine will erase “all your personal files” in the process; which is why I suggest you take steps to preserve them first.

What model Toshiba do you have?

Have you setup the printer to print via wifi – fromthe lenovo?

After setting up usb facility, one usually needs to go through a simliar proces for cta-5/etherenet and/ot wifi. It will require the installation of drivers and/or other software for yor printer (to be installed onyour new(?) lenovo.

If it’s still under warranty (which I guess it’s not) it’s probably best to let them fix it.
I’m not familiar with that model but it doesn’t seem to be a typical desktop that’s relatively easy to open up. The video must be on-board meaning a new motherboard would be the likely fix. Maybe that’s what Gateway expects and that’s why they could quote you a price.

Someone may post in having more experience with that model but from what I’m seeing, getting it fixed for $150 may be the best you can do.
