Microsoft Word Changes Font Suddenly

I work with Microsoft Word for Mac 2011. I write in any style with their default font and either when I go back and write between two other words, or when I start a new paragraph, especially if it is another Style as the earlier paragraph, the font changes suddenly to Times New Roman, whatever Style I am in. How can I stop this?

      Here is the answer: Go to Word/Preferences and there to Edit. There is a checkbox that says Match Font with Keyboard. Make sure it is not checked in and it will work!!!
