Solved How To Copy Shapes In MS Word

  • 3

I am making a checklist of chores that I need to do around my house so I need several boxes placed in a word.doc. I made one box using Insert > Shapes and then changed the fill and outline as needed. I placed this one box in the appropriate location on the doc and then tried to use Copy and Paste to make additional copies but was unsuccessfully. Is there a way to copy the box to make multiple copies or do I need to create each new box individually?

Thank you.

  1. In Word 2011 (Mac Office version) to cpu a given shape all one needs to do is:

right click on the shape, select copy,

then on the page required right click and select paste.

Can repeat the paste as many times as desired.

Each shape can be independently positioned afterwards.
