Solved How Do I Get Gadwin Printscreen To Print?

  • 1

I’ve downloaded Gadwin Printscreen 5.4.2 free to my PC running Win 7. It captures the screen shot I want, but I can’t see how to get it to print on the printer.

  1. Hurrah! Success! It was a question of “Doh”! on my part. When the preview of the screenshot comes up on the screen it is “live”. I thought that it was just a picture and that any operation, such as “print” was to be found elsewhere. Of course I couldn’t find the print operation – until I hovered the mouse over the screenshot and found that it was “live” i.e. that there were operations available on the screenshot itself. The green Tick mark (I think you call it a Check mark) in the top left of the screenshot is the operation to allow you to “continue to output”. In fact, the operations are not actually part of the screenshot (i.e. it does not appear as part of the printout) they are just outside the screenshot but within the total frame of the preview. This I had not realised, because I viewed it as a part-screen not full screen mode. It is more obvious in full screen mode. My previous version of Printscreen had a much more obvious way of proceeding – even in part-screen mode. Oddly enough things have changed over time – funny I was not aware of this phenomenon! It was a question of “shouting before I was hurt” as my Dad would have said. Anyway, I’ve got it to work. “God is in His heaven and all’s right with the world”! Thanks to my respondents who caused me to think that I should look a little closer before “drawing stumps” (an English cricket expression meaning to finish and go home – just in case it’s not familiar States-side!)
    Best wishes
