I am trying to print a DL envelope using Word 2007, but it prints double line spaced. Any ideas how I can get the printer to print the address on envelopes with single line spacing please? When typing in the address, I can’t get it to allow single line spacing.

Hi there, I’m using Word on Windows Vista and I couldnt get the double line spacing to change to single when printing an envelope from the address on the letter. I have discovered that if you go to the ‘Change Styles’ box in the top RH corner of the Home page the down arrow gives you a ‘Style Set’ option. When that window opens you have a menu of further options. I highlighted Windows 2007 and then was able to achieve what I wanted. Hope that helps!
Thank you Humar. I have now managed to get single line spacing on envelopes. I first opened envelope in page layout and then somehow managed to get what I wanted. Still a bit of a mystery, but success is what matters!
Hi,
Change the line spacing in the ‘Envelope Address’ style.
There is a specific Style called ‘Envelope Address’ which holds the formatting for envelopes, including line spacing.
I don’t have Word 2007 on this PC so I can’t give you step by step instructions to get to Styles, but it’s the same as changing say a Heading style.
