Change Text Date To Roman Numerals

What is the Excel formula to change text date to ‘pipe’ delimited Roman numerals (e.g. June 8, 2009 should be converted to VI|VIII|MMIX.)

      =ROMAN(MONTH(A1))&”|”&ROMAN;(DAY(A1))&”|”&ROMAN;(YEAR(A1))
