Using Mac Filtering In My DIGISOL Router To Secure WiFi

  • 1

My neighbours been using my WiFi for a while. I thought I’ll just cut him off by using Mac filtering but when I went for the settings there were two options outgoing and incoming and two for Mac address too source and destination. Now I’m completely confused to put what and where.
I use a digisol router. DG-BG4100NU

  1. Changing the access-key and even the SSID will restrict who can use the router via wifi; mac filtering adding another level of control, which whilst it is it true will restrict access too, does mean more work. The access-key change at least would do what required; and changing the SSID an extra barrier, with mnmal effort.
Having both mac filtering, and changing the default access-key and SSID will of course really tighten/control access.
