Lenovo G550 Laptop Turns On But No Display, External Monitor

Lenovo G550 laptop, power on but no display, external monitor wont work either.

    1. External display is usually toggled by a key or key combination after the machine has booted. Laptops cannot be set to use the external display at startup.

      Since you are getting no display onscreen how do you know the machine is even booting?

    2. Try these following troubleshooting steps that may help in resolving that issue. – Do a hard reset, remove the battery and AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Plug just the AC adapter then see if the laptop will boot up and if it does you can put the battery back in as well.
