No Processor Bios Update Found – MS-6557 With IBM Bios

Hi all,

I had a hermes 845gl and the motherboard broke. I purchased a replacement on ebay and have installed it.

I can’t get the computer to boot into windows though and the message above appears. It is an MSI motherboard but for some reason when I turn the computer on it bas an IBM splash page and the bios says ‘IBM setup utility’

I would like to fix this message but I haven’t been able to find any information on the IBM website and I can’t find a way to upgrade the bios.

Any ideas or suggestions appreciated

      That’s because it’s an IBM BIOS. The BIOS settings are “bare bones” to prevent too much user tampering. Do you actually have an IBM system? if not, you do now, lol.
