I am interested in audio over IP (sending audio packets over ethernet, UDP packets) and I want to create a program that will playback the audio.

I want to know, besides the application, if I would need to create my own custom drivers (either for ethernet, ASIO) in order to take the data from the ethernet layer and bring it to my application.

Thanks for the links.

I already have a device that sends uncompressed PCM audio data via UDP packets.

The problem now is that I want my application (or any other audio player application) to see the ethernet port as a sound card.

I haven't found any information online specifically about App <--> ASIO driver <--> UDP Packets.
