Double check all the obvious...make sure all connections are secure & the monitor is switched on. You may also need to open the case to make sure the cards are fully seated in their slots.

Are you using a dvi or vga cable? I had the same problem with my ati x1300 pro and a dvi cable. After trying everything else, I finally put my vga cable back on and it worked fine.

I have not done such things as that, yet.

I would say that it May not have damaged the Video card because the Monitor is a signal receiving device. ??

MONITOR PROBLEMS:
A yellow,or orange, monitor indicator light indicates
no signal is getting to the monitor from the video
card. Could be the card is not sending a signal, or
problem with the cable or connectors.
Card may not be seated properly.

Is the inside of your computer clean of dust. ??

The object of this is to have a GREEN monitor indicator light, which means the monitor is getting a signal.

You say ---
I have tested another monitor with it's card, and still i get no yellow monitor indicator light.

Our goal is to get a green light.

Have you removed the case and reseated the video card?

The PC has to be working to get a display. If you don't get the initial single beep when you power on, that means you probably have a PC hardware problem and not a monitor problem.

I don't think going from vga to dvi is going to help. It helped me when going from dvi to vga. Like Chuck 2 said, your goal is to get the green light. Do you have another card you can try?

Did you read response #9?
Are you getting the initial (Power On Self Test) beep?
If you aren't, you are wasting your time trying to find out what's wrong with your monitor. The PC writes the data to the monitor and if the PC motherboard isn't working, you will not get a green light or a display.

When you power on the PC the motherboard does a check of itself to make sure every thing is working. IF everything is OK it outputs the POST beep. If you do not get any beeps that normally means the motherboard is completely dead.
Reseting the bios 'might' fix the problem 'if' one of the bios settings was changed to something that caused a problem.
It could be a loose motherboard power connection, bad power supply, bad motherboard or a dozen or so other things.
