When some ads or animation or web page component modules load they tend to clear boxes you are typing in or remove the flashing cursor from the box.
Try waiting until they have loaded, then start typing.

You could also try loading Flash Switch - it allows you to easily toggle Adobe Flash on or off, but.....
- it only works in IE
- you must exit IE to toggle it on or off, but you only need to click on the center of it's icon in your task bar to do that.
- some web pages will ask you to install Adobe Flash when it is turned off

Ok I missed that.

Have you tried...

Doing a FULL scan of ALL files on at least C with your anti-virus and anti-adware/spyware/trojan program.

Start - Run - type: cmd (click OK)
type: chkdsk /f c: (press Enter)
Answer yes to the questions.
Chkdsk will want to run the next time you boot - let it.

Place your Windows CD in a drive.
Start - Run - type: cmd (click OK)
Expand the black window.
type: sfc /scannow (press Enter)
(System File Checker will check essential sytem files and replace any found to be corrupted or missing.)
(It only works if your Windows CD has SP2 updates included on it)
