Hi,
I just upgraded from windows me to xp pro. xp
automatically opened an account for me, which I logged on.
But the start menu and the taskbar just froze.
I read an article in ms knowledge base, and was advised to
create a new account. but how I can I transter all the
settings from my old account to the new one?

Goto system properties, advanced, user profiles, select the old account profile, click copy to and browse to the new account location (documents and settings)
