Hi,

I am trying to RDP w/o console from server to one of the user's machine.

Straightaway it gives me some network error.

RDP is enabled in properties of My Computer.

Client is running Win XP 2002 SP2
Server is running Win Server 2003 SE SP2

Any ideas why I can't RDP? At the same time I can RDP to other machines.

I am going to check firewall..but anything else that needs to be checked?

You don't specify which machine has rdp enabled. If you can set to some wksts from the server via rdp I would suspect the users machine you can't get to doesn't have rdp enabled.

Imagine the power of knowing how to internet search

Wanderer,

I am unable to RDP to machine that is already have RDP enabled on it. I have confirmed this twice.

I have already disabled the Windows Firewall service but doesnt make any difference.

Though I can ping to it.

Could be port 3389 not listening?

Thank You

3389 is the required port for RDP. You could do a netstat on the machine and see if it is listening on port 3389. The likelyhood though is a firewall in between. How are you using RDP though? Is it over the internet or on the same subnet?
