I have tried to install this product a couple of times today, but each time I get the error:

Error: Installation of the "Microsoft Expression Web 2" product has reported the following error: Installation of the "Microsoft Expression Web 2" product has reported the following error: -2147024873.

This is a copy of Expression Web 2 via Dreamspark.

Now, I have tried some suggestions I have seen, like repairing Office (2003) but that was a no help. I will state that I tried a copy of Office 2007, but that program failed its install, twice, so I uninstalled it, which in turned failed a couple of times too. This was a couple of weeks ago. I have since then tried to uninstall it, via Windows and other uninstallers, but the install was so badly corrupted, I had to do much of it manually. Then I repaired my Office 2003.

ES1 was also installed before, but have uninstalled that tonight as well.

This is the full program. Now, it keeps failing at Web. It will determine its state, download EW2 installation files, and goes to installing EW2So, I did the other products individually: Blend, Design, Encoder, Media (all v2). They all, but Web, install successfully.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled a couple of times tonight with no success.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled all .NET files, including the 3.5 that comes with the ES2 install package.

ES1 was fine until I tried to install v2 today. I have attempted to do so about 8 times now.

I have repaired Office 2003 several times, cleaned registry entries with some tools, tried ideas from http://forums.techarena.in/showthre... but can not find any new info on how I may be able to solve this.

XPProSP3 is the OS.
Office 2003 is still installed and working. Have not attempted to remove that.

I can post one of the error files if needed, but it shall be long.

Thank you with any help someone may have available.

As God blesses America, resistance will be, and always has been, futile.

From a post I did elsewhere:

It seems that did the trick, more or less.

I downed a new copy of the trial from
http://us1.trymicrosoftoffice.com/p...
And installed Office 2007 fine.

Then I installed the entire Expression Studio suite and all went through, including for the first time, Web.

I did not end there, of course, since I did not want to keep O 2007.

I went to uninstall it the regular, Windows way. It worked fine. Took a bit to uninstall the Accounting packages and that all went fine. Then, I had to repair Office 2003. Expression Web is still working!!! I may not have try to do stuff in it, yet, but the application still loads.

So far, so good. I thank you. I did not think of trying to reinstall Office 2007, as I could not see why it was needed. Nor did I want to make things worse as it took me a week to clear out bloody registry entries it left behind. Reinstalling 2007 of Office may have seemed liked the most obviously thing I would have done, but I was so focused on getting rid of it, I never thought of trying to put it back on. Previously, trying to repair it failed all the time too. That is why I saw Office 2007 had to go and I did not see it having any connections to EW2.

Enough of my ramblings. Thank you. I will keep this Office 2007 Trial in hand if I need it again.
