Hello guys,

I am hoping anybody here wil be able to help me out with this problem im having. I wil tell my story and some data first.

I opened some damn file wich was an exe... before i knew what i did with my sleepy darn slow head it was to late. I got an report from i think norton that some trojan had entered the pc and spywareguard reported several bho had changed and asked if i wanted to delete or keep em. even tho i say remove they keep coming back a sec later.

also i had the problem of the computer restarting very soon after that... when i was restarted i tried a system return point wich didnt do anything but it restarted again because of it. When it was finished restarting again i got a error report that the return point hadnt worked and the spywareguard report started coming again also a new report from windows with the that windows had suffered a severe critical crash or error....

the computer would restart every timeit was finished loading anythingin windows or when i tried to do anything else like go to internet or other things like accesingdata on a hard drive for backup etc.

Eventually i figured i go to windows save mode while on my other pc i read about the problem some people had with the same signs.
They told them to go to windows safe mode with networking and download spybot search and destroy and avg anti spyware. i also had ad aware wich i ran and it deleted about 130 critical objects.
I also downloaded hijackthis since i thought i wil be needing it soon.

After that i restarted to normal mode and the restarting had seemed to stop. the spywareguard message was stil there telling me about some system32/(dont remember it).dll and had the same windows message with a send or dont send report button wich wont go away how often you click on dont send...(keeps cmoing back).
Also when i opened IEexplorer it kept opening new tab pages and new pages etc....
That was when i decided i need some help.

I hope you guys can help me with this insane problem and i hope to keep the data stored on my harddisk as this is data for my girlfriend.

we copied some files to an portable hdd(smal one50gb) and some flash cards and i scanned them on another pc with norton but seems to be clean. is it possible that they are clean?

I can give you an hijackthis report if you need it but since they say shouldnt post it unless asked for i wont.

With kind regards,

Niels

Niels,
I would recommend first off that you dl and run TrojanHunter here: http://www.misec.net/ -update during the install when prompted. It's a 60 day trial and has saved many users including myself from formatting. After running it, please repeat your spyware scans (trojans can hide things)Then run Ccleaner "issues' tab -this will clean the registry of orphaned .dll references (trojans love to place entries in the dllcache)and anything else that is obsolete.

-happy to help if I can :-
