Comment: I was trying to get rid of mouse acceleration on my Mac when i found this on the internet http://www.idyll.org/~n8gray/code/ Then i installed the hacked file... and now My wireless mouse and keyboard arent connecting to my comp... I try re connecting with Bluetooth preferences and it still doesnt work! is there a way i can restore my OSX system files without reinstalling my OS? How do I get rid of what that program did? (Im VERY new to mac any help would be great)

Reply: (edit)first of all you didnt read tha instructions to the hack correctly. The hack only applies to a usb mouse, not a bluetooth mouse, so theres the problem. If you read the instrustions it tells you that the intall script will make a backup of your existing IOHIDFamily.kext in: /System/Library/Extensions/ IOHIDFamily.kext.backup So If you hate the hacked version you can get the old one back with: sudo rm -rf /System/Library/Extensions/ IOHIDFamily.kext sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/ IOHIDFamily.kext.backup \ /System/Library/Extensions/IOHIDFamily.kext sudo rm -f /System/Library/Extensions.* # These are cache files # Now reboot If this dont work and im not sure if it will then you will need to reinstall your OS.
