Comment: Since I'm considering upgrading my computer, I was wondering and I HAD to make sure that if there had to be a specific type of power supply unit that's "compatible" with computer case, i.e if the PSU can fit inside my case. I know about Standard ATX and MicroATX, but I'm pretty sure mines Standard ATX but I want to know if I can just, say, pick any PSU out of the shelf and if it could fit inside my case. Please help. Thanks.

Reply: (edit)The dimensions of ATX PSUs are standardized, but the wiring & plug configuration can be different depending on which ATX spec the PSU conforms to...ATX, ATX12V, ATX12V 2.0, ATX12V 2.2, etc.

Reply: (edit)Great! I looked inside my case and there was a fair bit of space in front of the PSU, and about 2cm of space on both sides. Thanks for the help by the way. :)
