Lost a harddrive, installed a new one. Every driver installs, but the GeForce3 ASUS driver, have tried ASUS's driver and NVIDIA's driver, but to no avail. I have tried using a GeForce4 MSI card, same issue. I am stuck in 16 color hell. I have reseated everything in the box, same issue. Have tried each RAM chip separately, same issue. WINME is totally up to date. Any suggestions? Motherboard issue? CPU issue?

Make sure the PNP OS installed option is
set to "Yes".

Also, does the motherboard have a Via IO
chipset?

If it does, you *must* download Via
4 in 1 4.40.
