From the System log:
… user.debug udhcpc: Sending renew…
… user.info udhcpc: Lease of 85.24.98.182 obtained, lease time 7200
successfully performed a number of times (9 observed) every one hour.
The “renew” operation apparently is then terminated causing disconnect from the internet – without any further notice in the System log or Security log.
Temporary work-around by resetting router:
Log-in to router GUI: http://192.168.1.1/ : Home -> Tools -> Reset.

How I fixed problem:
Download (latest) firmware from www.topcom.net:
Ver 1.39 DHCP issue fixed 14/06/2008 3.085 MB
and install on router: Home -> Tools -> Firmware Upgrade
