Have you ever had your computer wake up at the middle of the night-and scare the living “night” lights out you? Well I’m here to fix that! There is 2 ways you can fix it.
Option 1:
Step 1. Open Command Prompt. The best way to do this is click the windows vista orb on your task bar, and type in “cmd” and then right click on cmd, and click “Run as Administrator”.
Step 2. Type these commands in.
powercfg -setacvalueindex scheme_current sub_sleep bd3b718a-0680-4d9d-8ab2-e1d2b4ac806d 0
powercfg -setdcvalueindex scheme_current sub_sleep bd3b718a-0680-4d9d-8ab2-e1d2b4ac806d 0
powercfg -setactive scheme_current
Step 3. Restart your computer.
Option 2:
Step 1. Turn off your computer/Hibernate.
Step 2.Turn off the power surge!!! This method is great to guarentee no-wake ups! You could unplug your computer, Turn off power surge, or take the battery. What ever you want to do, they both work.
