Sata DVD/CD WRITER.

The original writer drive is(IDE)interface.Picked up a new 1 but did nt notice its a(Sata)inter. Will this work w my emach-T6520 Windows XP? What needs 2 be done? I see on the mother board 3 sata data connections but not a adapter connection. The comp has the E:/ drive which is the 1 wanting 2 replace, then there is the F:/ drive which is a liteon LTN-489s. Is this possible with the writer drive E:/ Sata & the cd-rom F:/ being (IDE)?
