how to modify windows xp to install on usb drive

they use be a web page that told you how to modify windows xp to install it to an usb drive
there 6 files that has to be modify anyone know where the web page or can tell me what I need to modify I know of the files that people has put up on line but none work I need to modify my own files Thanks for any help
