Windows 95 Problem

  • 0

I am trying to install Windows 95 on my computer and I am getting the error:
Insufficient memory to initialize windows

How can I change this so it allows Windows 95 to install…

The computer had enough memory to istall Windows XP, so I find this error invalid.

I have 1gb of ram.

  1. Reduce your RAM to 512MB to install Windows 95. Once everything is up and running then there are solutions for using up to 4GB.

@Tomb – MSCONFIG does not exist by default in Windows 95. One must manually add it from a 98 machine or manually extract it from this KB Article/Hotfix:
