Solved I Am Getting a Message Of Insufficient Memory For Windows 98

  • 1

I recently installed Windows 98 as a Virtual Machine via VirtualBox on my Windows 10 computer. I tried run the drive, but keep getting a message about insufficient memory to initialize Windows. In the past few days I have asked questions about full screen and CD-Rom drive sync for Windows XP, I also have a virtual drive for both Windows 8.1 and 98. I got Windows XP and 8.1 working fine (so far), but I keep getting this message when I try and run Windows 98. My computer has 16gb memory and tons of hard drive space. What do I have to do to get past this message on Windows 98? Any help is appreciated!

You actually have TOO much memory. Set the Win98 guest memory allocation to less than 512MB.
